KRC Foundation, on 11th January 2025 launched the Silchar HAM Radio Club to promote the HAM Radio movement in the Barak Valley region of Assam, India. This initiative became part of various activities under Barak Festival 2025 and is a CSR initiative of the Foundation to create a movement and team of passionate volunteers to establish the 'HAM Radio Centre of Excellence'.

The initiative is in Technical Collaboration with Tripura HAM Radio Club and Haflong HAM Radio Club for capacity building and handholding in establishing the Silchar HAM Radio Club.
