'Barak Festival’ is a signature event of the KRC Foundation. It will be organised at Silchar, Assam, India from 10-12 January every year. This year the theme of the Festival is 'NE India Adventure Sports, Art & Culture Promotion’

Online Global Fest on Harivansh Rai Bachchan (Hindi), Jana Neta Hijam Irabot (Manipuri/English) & Bharata Ratna Dr. Bhupen Hazarika (Assamese/Bengali) is part of the ‘Barak Festival 2025’ to pay tribute to the three greats of India.

The objective is to showcase the rich literary work amongst our young minds and also give a platform to all to participate from across the globe.

One can participate and send a video clip on any poems (Hindi & Manipuri) or songs (Assamese or Bengali), or dance drama on Harivansh Rai Bachchan, Jana Neta Hijam Irabot poems and songs of Dr. Bhupen Hazarika between Jan-Mar 2025

Participation Rule:

One Entry per registration fee of Rs.100 is allowed.
To submit multiple entries by one individual, multiple registration fees will be required.
The video should contain a song or recitation by the participant and can use a single instrument by self
The best 25 from Each Group are selected for the Pre-Final Round (Results to be declared on 2nd April 2025)
The best 25 from Each Group submit their next video (different from the previous one) between 3rd April 2025 to 6th April 2025)
The best 12 from Each Group are selected for the Final Round (Results to be declared on 8th April 2025)
12 finalists from Each Group participate Live Online (on 10th April 2025)
2nd & 3rd positions from Each Group are awarded Certificates + Medal on 12th April 2025
1st from Each Group is awarded a surprise gift from (Viewers & Sponsors) along with Certificates + Medal on 12th April 2025
Other Prizes such as 'Viewer Choice Prize' by anyone, 'Special Sponsor’s Prizes' (irrespective of the round one may enter and can be from any category depending on the decision of the viewers and sponsors)
Finalists have to collect their Surprise Gift + Certificate + Medals physically on 12th April 2025 either in person or through their authorised representative (should be intimated in writing) during the Prize Distribution Ceremony or later from our Silchar Office.
