RELIEF MATERIALS COLLECTION FOR MANIPURS’ DISPLACED PEOPLE

Initiated by 

BARAK MANIPUR FRIENDSHIP ASSOCIATION (BMFA)

(An initiative of KRC Foundation)


Dear all,

As you are aware that the state of Manipur has been facing a difficult time and thousands of people has become homeless and displaced due to conflict. According to Government estimates more than Fifty Thousand people are staying in 300+ relief camps.

Barak-Manipur Friendship Association (BMFA) {an initiative of Knowledge Resource Centre Foundation (KRC Foundation)} where team of professionals and friends of KRC Foundation have joined hands to organise various activities in order to create a strong socio-economic bond between the two region i.e. Manipur & Barak Valley.


Relief Initiative by BMFA

We are undertaking a ‘relief’ initiative for the displaced people and we appeal to all to come forward and give a helping hand in the need of this crisis.

The situation in Manipur is extra-ordinary, a war like scenario which is different from any other form of disaster or calamity. The people have lost their homes, profession, near and dear one. This displaced people have also lost their lives savings, their children’s education, and are at present looking into an insecure and uncertain future.

They need our empathy and if we can in any way, help them in this crisis, we shall be doing service to mankind.

 

Following ways, you can provide a helping hand:

1.       Provide Educational Books (Old or New)

2.       Provide Note Books & Educational materials (Old or New)

3.       Provide Winter Cloths, blankets etc.- Cleaned and Pressed (Old or New)

4.       Provide Utensils & cooking items like gas stoves etc. (Old or New)

5.       Provide Food grains, packet foods

6.       Provide Mosquito nets, raincoats, umbrella

7.       Medicines & First Aid Kit

8.       Any other item you may want to donate

9.       No monetary donations please

  

Who Can Volunteer?

Students, homemakers, NGOs, journalists, youths, organisations, clubs, puja committees, associations, welfare societies, senior citizen etc. can volunteer in the initiative.

A certificate of appreciation in soft copy will be issued to the donor.

 

How to donate?

Institutions & Organisations: You can let us know a date when people can bring the materials in your institutions and organisation and our volunteers can come and collect it

Individuals: You can let us know your convenient time and date and our volunteers can come and collect it from your homes


Collection Points: We have our valued well-wishers who have come forward to accept the materials on our behalf. You may also deposit the materials in the Collection Points (Will be notified personally)
