Barak Manipur Friendship Association

Barak-Manipur Friendship Association (KRC-BMFA) is an initiative of the KRC Foundation to create an eco-system to culture the historic relationship the two distinct regions enjoys; and to further the economic, social, educational, and cultural relationship between the two important regional clusters that are important for realisation of Act East Policy of Government of India.

With the objective to facilitate people-to-people contact, business development, and exchange of human capital strength that both Barak Valley and Manipur has, as well as to develop a strong socio-economic bond, this association is envisioned.

The KRC-BMFA will have the following scope of operations:

Constitution:

A select committee will be contributing in the movement and shall be for a tenure of two years with multiple sub-committees working in cohesion. The entity shall be part of KRC Foundation’s outreach and social commitment activities with its core philosophy of ‘connecting the unconnected’.

The activity shall be based on a ‘social impact’ motive and will be maintaining a record of audited financials which would be placed to the committee members annually/half-yearly/quarterly.

The activity of this association shall remain apolitical and non-critical to Government policy but shall confine itself to the role of advocacy and connecting the unconnected.
